I currently have a very limited selection of available birds. Most of my ducks have been ordered on a commission basis.

All birds are hand-carved and painted, signed one-of-a-kind originals. Prices vary based on the amount of work involved.

The Wooden Bird

What happens when you order a Wooden Bird?

When you decide to commission a Wooden Bird, your 50% deposit puts you in the schedule and I'll send you an estimated completion date. When I start on your bird, I send pictures throughout the process. It's like we are working on the piece together.

If you are interested in a piece made just for you or a family member, please contact me. I only produce about 1–2 birds per month. It's best to plan ahead, if you are thinking about a specific date or occasion.

For Holiday gifts, I suggest to order early or get a Commission Wooden Bird gift certificate. It will describe the bird you are giving, and the estimated date of arrival, as well as describe the fun process of creating a bird together!  I'll also send you a Wooden Bird coffee mug as a stocking stuffer with your certificate. Wood Duck Drake 2025

This 3/4 sized, partially detailed Woodie Drake is a study in color. He is textured on the back, tail, and head. He is painted in acrylics on pine. His back and head are iridescent green, blue and violet. The sides are havily vermiculated. He also has inlaid primary feathers.

Mini Common Loon 2025

This mini loon is 10" long from the tip of the bill to the tail. This is a partially detailed common loon. He is lightly textured on the sides and tail.  He is painted in acrylics on pine.  The head is a subtle iridescent green.
